Too little, too late, Isaac.

So, I've got some thoughts. One time long ago, my partner participated in a peaceful protest, and online photos of the event prompted someone to say all the protesters should be lined up and shot.

It made my heart hurt, and kind of made me scared.

I've always been interested in how people get twirled up in such a violent way of thinking, devoid of nuance. The ways an ever-affirming echo chamber can warp someone's perspective. How easy it is to dehumanize someone, or become ideologically paralyzed, when you thought stop, and don't allow yourself to question things.

Not all of the badguys of history thought they were doing the right thing. Some justified it. Some were too scared to speak out.

I'm not a very brave person. Something I hope to provide you with my dumb scribbles, though, is a world with fictional weirdos for you to ponder on yourself, to wonder what might push a person, even you, to do terrible things. You can love them and hate them and be disgusted by them, without any worry nor consequence, since they're not real. Maybe they can get you wondering how we can possibly be kind when we're all getting stepped on.

You guys are always really cool in the comments and I love getting to see the healthy dialogue of differing opinions. I'll only step in if personal insults are being thrown. Then again, the few hate comments on BB so far were all directed at me, and those are too funny to delete.

Anyway: Question everything, man. Talk to people. Don't let any article, bot, government body, person, or whatever tell you how to think. Fuck 'em. Let's enjoy some degenerate art together.
